With the traditional mix of real-life and original circuits, GT7 features tracks in 34 different locations with 97 unique layouts. The list of tracks that serve as the stage for all the racing action have been expanded for GT7.
More will be added to this massive total in the form of future updates. The tradition continues in GT7, as it offers more than 400 cars from 60-plus automotive manufacturers around the world. I would still be happy with a GT7 that prioritised content over graphical fidelity, GT Sport is still an excellent looking game but they had to sacrifice a lot to get there and I hope GT7 doesnt suffer the same fate.More than 400 cars from 60-plus automotive brands around the worldĪn amazing collection of a vast variety of cars, from production models to rare and legendary cars, has been among the key DNA ingredients of Gran Turismo. GT titles also tend to have a large lifespan, there’s a new one every few years rather than annually and the longer it is active for, the more and more outdated it will be, so it’s going to be very frustrating to handicap it right from the start.
Are they really expecting not to have that many PS5 players by 2022, even given the chip shortages etc.? In any normal circumstance the PS4 would’ve been completely pushed aside in the developer’s minds to focus on the newest platform, so to develop something for an 8yo+ platform seems incredibly backward in this scenario, the only benefit of it is a short-term injection of cash from PS4 players it seems. Thinking about it this way, the PS5 will have been out for over a year by the time 2022 comes around. I think it’s great that more people will get the opportunity to play the game on release, but as others have said the PS4 compatibility will hinder the game massively, especially given that alot of current PS4 titles can have things such as dynamic weather/time, yet GT Sport did not seem capable of running it. (PS5 Player, I’m trying not to be biased)
